Juicing is a simple and effective way to boost your intake of essential nutrients, promoting healing, supporting disease prevention, and enhancing overall gut health. That is why I am sharing some of the best juicing recipes for gut health here in one place.

I have made it clear in other posts how big a fan I am of juicing and all the benefits it brings with it.

Juices can be tailored according to the specific ailments you want to target, the vitamins and minerals you want to increase, or simply to the taste you are looking for.

However, I spend most of my time creating juices that  I think will best meet my body's current needs.

In doing this, I have created recipes that promote and improve gut health. The recipes below give a quick snippet of each juice recipe that can be simply clicked on to go to the exact recipe to begin creating a stronger, healthier gut microbiome.

Juicing Recipes For The Gut

Dandelion greens benefit various digestive issues, from indigestion and reflux issues to ulcers and gallbladder problems, which helps with the digestion of fats. Addtionally, it supports a strong intestinal lining and a healthy balance of gut flora.

Healthy Dandelion Greens Juice

Yield: 12 oz.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Additional Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

A refreshing and cleansing green juice with many overall health benefits.

Ingredients

  • 8 Dandelion greens leaves (1 Cup chopped)
  • 2 Mini Cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 1 Green Apple
  • 1/2 Lemon with peel

Instructions

  1. Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly
  2. Cut fruits and vegetables to size according to what fits nicely into your juicer.
  3. Add fruits and vegetables in the order given, gently guiding them one at a time.
  4. Sift the juice into a glass
  5. Enjoy your juice.

Notes

Only juice organic fruits and vegetables and those free from pesticides.

Parsley juice is great for supporting digestion. This herb stimulates enzymatic actions that aid in the breakdown of food. Also, parsley promotes a diuretic action that activates toxins, waste build-up, and excess fluid to be flushed out of the body. This, in turn, positively affects digestion.

Parsley Juicing Recipe

Yield: 16 0z. Glass

A healthy green juice recipe full of antioxidants and a boat load of other nutritional benefits.

Ingredients

  • 1 Medium Zucchini
  • 1 Large Carrot
  • 1 Small to Medium Cucumber
  • 1 and 1/2 cup Parsley
  • 2 Large Leaves Tuscan Kale (also called Lacinato Kale)
  • 1 Large Pink Lady Apple (Can substitute a Honeycrisp or Granny Smith Apple)

Instructions

  1. Chop veggies and fruit as needed. I keep the pieces as large as possible and carefully feed them through the machine.
  2. Depending on the juicer you are using, begin with the first ingredient on the list and work down in order. This will help ensure that the most juice is yielded from the fruit and vegetables. If you are able to add all items at once into juicer, then you can dismiss this step.
  3. After the juices have been juiced into container, carefully pour the juice into a glass through a small sieve. Lay the sieve over the glass and opt to ladle it in carefully if it is too difficult to pour from the container.
  4. Enjoy your Parsley Juice!

Ingredients

  • 6 Mini Cucumbers
  • 1/2 Green Apple
  • 1/4 cup Microgreens
  • 2 Romaine Leaves (medium)

Instructions

  1. Push cucumbers through the juicer.
  2. Juice the 1/2 of the apple with the skin on.
  3. Place in the microgreens and push them through the juicer.
  4. Lastly, juice the romaine lettuce pieces.
  5. Doing this last will pick up all of the vegetable pieces left behind.
  6. Pour the juice into a glass through a small mesh strainer.
  7. Enjoy your refreshing cucumber drink!

This homemade juice protects colon health by providing it with the right nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Red Beetroot (scrubbed only, not peeled)
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate Seeds or 1/4 cup of pure pomegranate seeds (no sugar added)
  • 1/2 heaping cup Sweet Potato (1 small)
  • 1/2 inch piece of Ginger (peeled)
  • 1/2 Lemon with rind on
  • 1/4-1/2 cup filtered water

Instructions

  1. Clean all fruit
  2. Take the pomegranate seeds out of the pomegranate husk if using a whole pomegranate. Alternatively, you can use pomegranate seeds already seeded or pure pomegranate juice if they are not in season.
  3. Peel the sweet potato, but just scrub the outside of the beet
  4. Juice all of the ingredients in order
  5. Sift the juice into a glass through a mesh sieve
  6. If using pomegranate juice instead of the seeds, pour the pomegranate juice into the mixture now.
  7. Pour distilled water into the juice mixture to make a full glass of juice.
  8. Enjoy your colon cleansing juice

Sweet potatoes are a great anti-inflammatory food that provides the body with micronutrients essential for a healthy gut. Its nutrient contents fight diseases and illnesses. It is a prebiotic food for good bacteria, essential for balancing the gut. Also, it supports the gut lining and supports food moving throughout the digestive tract.

A Tart Tasting Sweet Potato Juice

Yield: 8-12 oz.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Additional Time: 5 minutes

This sweet potato juice gives your taste buds a kick and your body a health boost.

Ingredients

  • 1 Large (2 Cups) Sweet Potato
  • 1 Large Grapefruit
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 inch grated Turmeric
  • 2 Stalks Celery

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean all fruits and vegetables
  2. Peel and chunk the sweet potato to fit into the juicer
  3. Peel and chunk the grapefruit
  4. Cut the rest of the vegetables to fit into the juicer
  5. Grate the turmeric
  6. Feed all the fruit and vegetables through the juicer in the order given above
  7. Cyphen the juicer through a strainer into a glass or jar
  8. Enjoy the tart juice treat
  9. Alternatively, fill to the top of a jar and close with a tight-fitting top. Make sure as little air is left in the jar as possible to preserve the juice's nutrients. Place the juice in the refrigerator to drink later.
