Elderflowers are a potent sinus fighter. These flowers add s nice floral touch to the tea as well.

These herbs are also useful when you have a sore throat, runny nose, or similar ailments flu season may bring.

Elderberries, from the same plant as the elderflowers, are another well-known herb that effectively helps reduce cold and sinus symptoms. This herb is powerful for the immune system due to the properties indicated above, as well as its antiviral properties.

Using dried elderberries in a tea provides the tea with both a slightly sweet and tart flavor. Their antioxidant properties are shown to reduce illness symptoms and aid in sinus inflammation.

Also used for sinus relief is the herbal licorice root. This easily found herb is powerful and aids in inflammatory reduction. It actually is found to continue to work as an anti-inflammatory after consumption.

Licorice root can enhance the effects of other herbs. In this case, the herbal tea blend may be more powerful with the use of licorice root.
