Therefore, although fresh juices are an effective way to get better skin, there things to watch out for. For instance, a juice will not fix everything. You will still need to address your overall diet.

Best ingredients to use in juices for acne
Carrots
Carrots contain beta-carotene and retinoids. Beta-carotene is an antioxidant that reduces free radicals and oxidative stress in the body. These are stressors in the body that can trigger acne.
Retinoids, derivatives of Vitamin A, are important for the growth of new skin cells. They also aid in hyaluronic acid and collagen production. Hyaluronic acid increases skin's health. Additionally, collagen is important in building healthy skin.
Cucumbers
Cucumbers are excellent skin hydraters. Cucumber juice has been shown to lessen inflammation and cleanse the body of toxins. Clogged pores set the stage for potential bacteria growth and acne formation. Cucumbers contribute to alleviating this problem.
Berries (Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries)
Berries are high in antioxidants. However, strawberries are not a berry I recommend for acne problems. It is high in histamine and can cause rash in sensitive people. Use precautions until acne problems are under control.
Blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries all contain Vitamin C which are great for skin health. Also, raspberries contain Omega-3 which are also great for the skin and inflammation.
Zucchini
Zucchini contain carotenoids which protect the skin. They also keep the skin hydrated due to their high water content. In addition to this, zucchinis are great for the digestive tract.
Digestive problems are a big contributor to skin problems including acne vulgaris. Juicing foods like zucchini that help with this can help tremendously.
Red Apple
Apples in general contain quercetin which helps the body with inflammation. However, red apples in particular have the antioxidant anthocyanin which helps with beneficial gut bacteria. Gut bacteria need to be balanced in a person with skin issues.
Additionally, these antioxidants provide more anti-inflammatory power. They also contain more beta-carotene than green apples do. However, both types of apples add beneficial nutrients that help skin conditions.
Sweet Potatoes
Another food high in beta-carotene is sweet potatoes. This food also has Vitamin C and anthocyanins that have anti-inflammatory properties and lessen oxidative stress. Vitamin C is also important in the production of collagen which restores skin structure.
Collard Greens
Collard greens are rich in many vitamins and minerals that support a healthy skin glow. Sulforaphane, for instance, is one element that helps digestive health and fights infections like H. Pylori that produce symptoms such as acne.
Flat-Leaf Kale
Also, a contributor of vitamin A and beta carotene and Vitamin C is the vegetable flat-leaf kale. I use flat-leaf due to it being more histamine-friendly compared to curly kale.
Vitamin A helps with skin elasticity and integrity. Once again, collagen is a result of the body's use of certain nutrients such as Vitamin C. This makes kale a great juicing ingredient.
Asparagus
You may not think of asparagus as an obvious juicing choice. However, it provides the body with Vitamin A and the mineral zinc. Additionally, it offers the body prebiotics which are great for gut health.
There is a correlation between healthy gut bacteria and skin health. That is why the prebiotics asparagus offers the body can be very helpful in a juice. Also, zinc is shown to help acne conditions as well as reduce inflammation in the body.
Red Grapes
Red grapes offer the body resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant. It fights off bacteria and has anti-inflammatory properties as well. This antioxidant has been found to inhibit the growth of pimples formed from bacteria.
Beets
Another acne-fighting food to juice is beets. Beets contain Vitamin B9 (folate), Vitamins A and C, and minerals such as potassium and manganese which contribute to the skin's healthy glow.
Additionally, beets help the body with detoxification. This can be an important factor for people with acne. Also, beets reduce the amount of oil in pores helping to control bacteria that produce acne.
Lemon
Lemon adds a tart zing to the drink, but also adds a high amount of Vitamin C and cleansing power. This fruit can help with acne scars and adds glow to the skin. Additionally, tones the skin and decreases the oils produced by the skin.
Watercress and Parsley
These two simple ingredients are not included in the juice recipes below but can be valuable components to add to any of the juices. Parsley is readily available, but watercress may be only found during certain seasons.
Both offer Vitamins C and K as well as many antioxidants. They also both offer detoxification benefits for the body that are very beneficial for those with skin conditions.
Arugula
The last helpful acne-fighting food to juice that I am going to mention is arugula. This vegetable has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits that help with the generation of new and healthy skin. Additionally, it helps with skin elasticity and brightens the skin with its Vitamin C content.
I have included ingredients from the list above but not all of them for several reasons:
- First of all, not all ingredients are easy to find this time of year, for instance, watercress.
- Secondly, I wanted you to be able to get the most out of your fruits and vegetables without paying a ton. Food is expensive.
- Lastly, there are only so many ingredients you want to combine into a juice before it becomes too unpleasing to the taste buds.

- 2 Carrots

- 2 Swiss Chard
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash all ingredients.
- Juice all ingredients alternating between the leafy greens and asparagus and the grapes and cucumber.
- Strain the juice into a glass.
- Enjoy the fresh juice immediately or store it in a mason jar.
#2 Juicing Recipe For Acne
Skin Clarifying Juice
This juice clarifies the skin while fighting acne breakouts.
Ingredients
- 1/2 English Cucumber (medium)
- 1/2 Beet (small-medium)
- 1 Red Apple
- 1/4 Lemon
- 2 Stalks Celery
Instructions
- Clean all fruits and vegetables
- Juice all fruits and vegetables in the order above.
- Place a strainer over a glass.
- Carefully pour the juice into a glass.
- Enjoy the juice.
Notes
This makes an approximately 16 oz. juice.

Best Juice For Clear Skin
This juice is great for clarifying and creating a natural glow.
Ingredients
- 3 Carrots (Large)
- 1 Red Apple
- 2 Asparagus spears
- 1 Zucchini (small-medium)
Instructions
- Wash all fruit and vegetables thoroughly.
- Peel carrots
- Juice ingredients in order, cutting into pieces as needed.
- Strain the juice into a glass.
- Enjoy the juice.
