Ginger root is a great tea to drink to support the digestion too. Gingerol, the active ingredient in Ginger root, supports the mobility of the digestive system. This means it aids the movement of food throughout the gut and small intestine. This helps decrease nausea symptoms.
Additionally, Ginger was used by the Greeks to help with intestinal parasites. Ancient India used it to treat upset stomachs. Also, ginger tea can aid in the healing process of infections in the gut.
